August Drive Day to the Scenic Rim Brewery & Café

Happy August to my fellow Triumph enthusiasts.  My apologies for the lateness of this notice but life has become extremely busy of late.  I would like to express my thanks to Mike Kelly for doing the bulk of the work in organising this month’s drive day.

1^st Meeting Point – VCCA Clubrooms, 1376 Old Cleveland Road Carindale

We will meet at the clubrooms at 8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM departure.

We will drive along the Gateway Arterial Rd., then continue southwest along the Logan Motorway until it merges with Ipswich Rd. at Goodna.  We will drive southwest along Ipswich Rd., until we reach the Cunningham Highway off-ramp.

We will take the Cunningham Highway off-ramp and continue southwest for approximately 15 minutes until we reach the Ipswich- Boonah off-ramp.  We will exit the Cunningham Highway at this point and turn left onto Ipswich-Boonah Rd.

TRAVEL TIME IS APPROX. 45 MINUTES

2^nd Meeting Point – the Intersection of the Ipswich-Boonah Rd. and the Cunningham Highway

Upon meeting up with our band of merry men and women at the second meeting point, we will travel south along Ipswich-Boonah Rd. until we reach Peak’s Crossing. From there we will head cross country, travelling along Roadvale-Kalbar Road to Kalbar, turning left onto Obum Obum Rd. and on to the Panorama Motorcycle Museum for morning tea (note: this is a summary of the route, and may not include all of the roads to be traversed).

TRAVEL TIME IS APPRX. 45 MINUTES

Morning Tea - the Panorama Motorcycle Museum (3 Panorama Drive, Roadvale)

We will stop for approximately 1 hr for morning tea and a leisurely wander around the museum, before heading off towards Boonah for our lunch.

We will leave the Panorama Motorcycle Museum no later than 12:00 PM.  We will drive southeast along the Kalbar-Boonah Rd. Our trip will take us through Boonah, after which we will turn onto Mt Alford Rd. to our lunch destination (note: this is a summary of the route, and may not include all of the roads to be traversed).
